The Vision Mural

At the end of the last academic year, pupils in all classes in the school were given the opportunity to draw pictures representing Maypole’s Vision and Values. Drawings were then selected from pupils across the school and given to a local artist, Stephen Oliver, to design a ‘Vision Mural’ for us. Over term 1, pupils whose drawings have been included in the design and at least one able artist in every class in the school have been involved in painting the Mural boards under the direction of Stephen Oliver.

On Monday 2nd November (first day back in term 2) at 10:00, we invited the Mayor and Mayoress of Dartford and also Councillor Patsy Thurlow to attend the unveiling of our 'Vision Mural' (on the corridor wall outside the hall) and the opening of our two new libraries. Children who have been involved in the design and painting of the Mural and our new librarians attended the short ceremony.
